So we're pretty darnsure that Eli now knows the words Mama and Dad/a. Cutest thing ever.

Also, we caught him climbing on top of two stacked stuffed animals and the bumper today, trying to lever himself out of his crib. Terrifying, but also, kid's a genius. Crib mattress now at lowest setting, by the way.

Developmental update: 9 months

Eli's language development went nuts today! He went from saying 'abooo aboo abooo' and pretty much nothing else, to saying all of the following today, in a very breathy voice:

mmmmmm
bababa
hababava
gawaawaa
ragaadaawaaah

That's 8 consonants! It was a banner day.
